Wei-Che Chiang is an Architectural Design Specialist at Strang, Inc. He holds a Master's degree in architecture from the University of Illinois and has a background in civil engineering. Wei-Che is passionate about incorporating practical functions, spatial experiences, and architectural constructability into his designs. He believes these elements make his work easily understandable to the general public. Additionally, he integrates collective memories, site conditions, and sustainable features into his designs. Wei-Che is also enthusiastic about graphic design and creates postmodern images by transforming initial realistic renderings through a post-rendering process, seeking new possibilities for unique experiences.

Architectural Design Specialist

Strang, Inc, Madison, WI​​

  • Contributed to the full design of a 90,000 sq ft office headquarters by developing drawings from a BIM 360 Revit model

  • Applied Building code for life safety analysis for laboratory design and assisted with scheduling special lab equipment in Revit 

  • Helped create renderings in Photoshop for the Circus Master Plan and Nuclear Fusion campus

  • Created construction documents, addressed wall details, and assisted with RFIs and site visits during the CA phase

Architectural Designer

PDI Design Group, Minneapolis, MN​

  • Developed details based on rough ideas from Project Manager, such as space, forms, facade design, site, and urban planning

  • Prepared both physical and digital model with renderings for presentation via AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Lumion 

  • Produced construction documents in accordance with local building codes and real estate​​

Emerging Profession Committee

AIA Southwest Wisconsin, Madison

  • A founder of the committee reached out to Madison-area architecture firms and compiled a contact list for future reference

  • Organized events to connect architectural emerging professions, including networking events at different firms, ARE intro sessions, USGBC lectures

  • Applied graphic design skills to create flyers and distribute them via the event system of the AIA Southwest chapter

Staff Engagement and Wellness Committee

Strang, Inc, Madison

  • Tracked 78 staff's anniversaries and organized the celebration event, including coordinating logistics, creating posters, and arranging food orders

  • Hosted the first-ever boat parties for two offices, each on a different lake, as a team-building event. Both events received excellent feedback from the staff

  • Managed a team of 7 to develop outreach programs for Taiwanese students on campus

  • Coordinated a system of roles within a team of 10 for the preparation of the Chinese New Year Celebration which involved 150 people
