Wei-Che Chiang has a Master's degree in architecture from the University of Illinois with a background in civil engineering and is currently working at Strang as an Architectural Emerging Professional. Wei-Che views practical functions, spatial experience, and architectural constructability as the foundations of his designs because they are easily comprehensible to the general public. He also integrates his designs with collective memories, site conditions, and sustainable features. In addition, he is passionate about graphic design also. He would put initial realistic renderings into a post-rendering process to create postmodern stylish images, seeking another possibility of a special experience.

  • Developed details based on rough ideas from Project Manager, such as space, forms, facade design, site, and urban planning

  • Prepared both physical and digital model with renderings for presentation via AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Lumion 

  • Produced construction documents in accordance with local building codes and real estate

Tourism and Travel Bureau of Taichung City Government, Taiwan

  • Created maps and graphic works in Photoshop related to tourism needed for tourism guide book and map of bicycle paths

  • Spoke to 500+ citizens regarding tourism information, including maps, hotels, attractions and specific events

  • Tested stress resistance of 3+ asphalt materials a week for general contractors in accordance to code ASTM D1075
